Be part of the local way and enjoy a donkey ride with your family or friends!
An exciting way to find your way through the paths of Aegiali is on the back of a donkey or mule. These animals have remained the most faithful partners of farmers, builders and other locals, joining them on their everyday labour. You can still see donkeys in the alleys of the villages and you will most probably encounter them on your hikes –or even drives!

Our donkey ride can start from the village of Tholaria or Langada, both in the area of Aegiali. You can opt for a short ride along one of the paths exiting the villages or for a longer route that will take you further inland. Our local guide will make sure your companion donkey awaits you and will help you ride on its back. We will then enjoy a peaceful ride along the beautiful paths of Amorgos, an excellent opportunity to discover the pristine nature of the island away from the crowds. We will then return to our point of departure.

IDEAL FOR FAMILIES: Discovering some paths of Amorgos on the back of a donkey is a unique experience that no one ever forgets.

MEETING POINT: Tholaria/Langada. For rides starting from Langada, prior notice at least the day before is required.
